Readers who follow real-world conversations about large-scale predictive modeling, signals intelligence, and the sheer density of data now flowing through global infrastructure will recognize the anxiety Ledger is tapping into, even as the book stays fully in thriller territory rather than drifting into technical exposition. The "phantom frequency" is speculative, but the unease it's built on — that enough data, correlated well enough, might make the future far less private than we assume — is not.

There's also a formal elegance to how Ledger handles the reveal structure.
